Honestly, the price is quite expensive for me. But........ It's understandable since I came here during the peak season, and the hotel is only 2 minutes from St. Lucia Station by foot. You don't have to worry about how to travel with your luggage on the Venice stairs. This hotel was secure enough. The room seems vintage. And the breakfast was okay, not a wow one. It was still good though. The receptionist was also very nice and helpful. However, on my second day, just before I checked out, the toilet water was not working. I can't even flush the toilet ðŸ˜
Other than that, I had a good stay in this hotel.
Firstly - location is perfect. It's much better to stay next to the train station, than in the middle of old Venice. After the sunset it gets dark, empty and a lil scary) but in that area one could find some food, booze and some life almost 24/7. About sound - i was sleeping well, nothing did bother me.
Reception was nice and friendly.
Rooms - yes, look tired... definitely some renovation is needed, but have to say bathroom was clean, that's what important for me. Walls...well, whomever comes to Venice to look at the hotel walls - my condolences. Price and location is nice, so I'd say for a short stay, if you come to your room just to sleep, hotel is good
It is 2* hotel, so you can not except too much. But for the 2* hotel it is great, and we had bathroom in our room. The location is superb, right next to train statin St. Lucia, so basically you can enjoying Venice in 20 minutes after arriving.
You can find caffes and trattorias in surroundings, a lot of shops, vaporetto station, and also it is not that far by walk from main Venice highlights.
For this price it is really great option. We did not order the breakfast, so can say nothing about it.
We only stayed for 2 nights but had no power for 26 hours, while that may not be the hotels fault, there was no communication or attempt to help, maybe a flashlight for the interior bathroom, and dwindling hot water. and we couldn't flush the toilet for that full day. Also no discount offered. (Also couldn't charge our phones or use the wifi)
Ok, yes this is an older hotel with things that need to be upgraded like the locks on the doors. (They work, but they're tricky to open. You need to mess with them), and the front door needs a hard push to let you out of the building, but it has old-time Venice vibes. It's so cute and charming. The small rooms are cozy and have everything we need. Super close to the train station and easy to reach from the airport. The staff is very nice and helpful. And it's an added bonus that they speak English really well (because they don't have to, it's appreciated) You do need to check in a few doors down but one of the guys showed us where. Perfect hotel if you're traveling on a budget and if I come back to Venice on a budget one day I would stay again.
Location beside the train station was very helpful. The room was big and the bed comfy. Close to many restaurants as well.
It was an odd bathtub/shower to manoeuvre in, but I guess it is an older style and limited space.
Our room was very bad. Small and old with bad smell. The flow of the water of the tap was very little. There was no reception at that building, so we had to walk to a close hotel. The Air condition was making sounds, as it was turned off. I recommend it only if there is no other option or you have very low budget. Stuff was ok and they stored our baggages before check in and after check out.
